A toast to my lil man...Happy B-day Collin!

One year ago today Collin Matthew entered our lives. I have to admit i was pretty dissapointed when i found out i was having another boy, but i got over it quite quickly as soon as i met him. Last year around this time i was wondering whether i would be able to pass nursing school with a new baby. I knew it was going to be difficult but i would do anything in my power to pass. The first time Ryan's grandmother held Collin at the hospital she told me he was going to be a good baby and a "fantastic" baby he was. I was prepared to have sleepless nights and crying but to my surprise that never happened. Collin never cried for more than 20 seconds and if he did all he needed was to be fed. When he did wake up at night all i did was feed him and he would fall back asleep. I think he knew coming into this world that he needed to let mommy finish school and in order for her to do that he needed to behave. He has brought us soooo much joy and everybody that meets him falls in love with him. Even strangers come up to him and he just charms them with a smile. I look forward to coming home and seeing him everyday and i even enjoy getting him in the morning ( i am the worst morning person) but his smile brightens my day. I already miss him being little and i feel sad that his first year is already over. I dont remember feeling sad when Cameron turned 1, it must be a second child thing. I look forward to watching Collin grow and develop into a lil man. I hope he continues to be a wonferful baby because i have one more year of school to go. Happy Birthday my lil man, We all love you so much! More pictures to come from his party which is Saturday

Cam & Collin pics!

Cam & Collins photo shoot!

Today i was brave enough to take the boys to get their pictures taken all by myself. I have not had Collin's pictures professionally done since he has been born and i wish i would have done it sooner. Cameron did great and Collin was alittle more difficult but we got some great pics. If anyone has any requests of what picture they want, e-mail us or let us know so we can get those mailed off to everyone.

Priest Lake

Last week we went on our anuual trip to Priest Lake Idaho. I was a little hesitant about taking Collin because he is crawling and i was not about to let him crawl around in the dirt. The weathe didn't cooperate with the first couple days but it was beautiful the last two days of our trip. Collin was a happy camper and slept & ate great! I'm still not convinced that this whole camping thing can be called a vacation but all in all we had a good time.
Waiting for some dinner at the restaurant

Cameron met some kids playing beach volleyball and he had to jump in on the fun. He is not shy at all when is comes to meeting new kids

Playing with his new girlfriend Marisol. Ryan friends Jeremy came up with his girlfriend (marisol) and she was very good with Cameron and he even told her that he loved her.

Hippie boy hangin out at the campsite
We brought Collin's swing and after days of rain and Collin being cooped up in his stroller i asked Ryan if there was a way to hang the swing. There were two trees and Ryan brought out some heavy duty rope (not sure what it is called) and he hung it up. Collin got alot of enjoyment out of it and it worked great!

Chillaxin with a little thumb

The dogs! They are always entertainment for us when we go camping. Ruby is getting alittle older and the other dog would swim further to get the stick and Ruby would meet him half way. Good teamwork Ruby and Drake!

Papa Steve trying out the skies!

Papa Dusty came down on the last day of our trip and enjoyed some fun in the sun
I have not tried tubing in years but after a few drinks i became brave enough to go alone. I actually had a blast and i even got thrown off once.

Cameron was also brave and went tubing all by himself.

Collin was happy to be home and was a bit tired. He was even smart enough to get this pillow from under the table

Not so happy 4th!

Cameron had asked me all day when it would be time to lite fire works. Every hour i swear! When it finally came time to lite them off this is how he felt about them. He sat in the shop with the dogs. Then he went in side the house and fell asleep. Maybe next year i'll have to bring the head phones to drown out the noise.
The only fire work picture i got. We have a ton of left over fire works...i guess we will have them for next year.
