Happy 4th!

This year we spent the 4th at Papa & Nana's. Collin was quite entertained by this bucket of water.
He also crawled around the grass and posed for mommy when i asked him to.

Cameron also had to get in on the photo shoot but he needs to work on his smile.

Collin is starting to go after his brother lately. I think we are going to have a bully on our hands!

But how can anyone resist me...i am so darn cute!

Legos & Tie Die

Our friends drove over from Seattle and brought us some home made tie die shirts! Collin seems to like his shirt

Most importantly, Papa Dave sent cameron this lego motorcycle! It was pretty advanced so Ryan spent some time with Cameron helping him put it together. Cameron was focused the entire time and was very happy with the end product. Thanks Papa Dave!

Reason for the whining

Earlier this week Collin has just not been his happy self and he had a cough and runny nose. I thought it probably was just a cold and it would go away. He has been pretty whiney lately and i thought he was just frustrated and wanted his mommy. Yesterday he woke up and his voice sounded different so i decided to take him to the doctor. To my surprise he had an ear infection and this was why he was fussy. I was so glad i took him in because we are going campin next week and that would have been horrible to have an infant with an ear infection up camping. It is his first ear infection and he has been so lucky to not get one yet. We hope the antibiotics start kicking in and he becomes his happy self soon!

Learning how to whine for Mama

Collin has recently learned how to say "Mama". He has also learned that he can crawl up to my legs and call for me in order to be picked up. Some may say it's genious...some may find it a little annoying. Like Grandma says "you teach them how to walk and talk, then you teach them to shut up and sit down". Oh the whining begins....

Keeping busy!

We took the kids boating the other day. I didn't take many pictures but here is one of Collin standing up grinning from ear to ear. I think we need to get him some shades!

Cameron started soccer this summer! He needs to practice being more aggressive but he is doing fairly well so far. In t-ball the girls on the team seemed to follow the rules better and had a better understanding of the game. The same goes with soccer i guess. There was these two girl on the other team that were very agressive and scored all the goals. I guess us women are much smarter than boys, even at this age.

Camping at Clear Lake

Couple weeks ago we went camping with a large group of people at Clear Lake. I was a little hesitant to take Collin but i decided we better try out his camping tolerance before we go camping at Priest Lake for a week in July. He did fairly well but it was a little challanging because we couldnt let him crawl on the dirt. So we decided it woud be a good idea to make a large gated area for him with a tarp on the ground when we go to priest lake. Here is the crew and the official members of the dog pound ( there were six dogs that went as well).
Here are the dirty boys eating their popsicles. Cameron enjoyed playing with all the kids and i feel bad for him up at Priest because we go with a large group of adults with no kids.

In order to make Collin happy all we have to do is feed him....here he is shoveling it in.

Getting smarter!

Mr. Collin is getting smarter & stronger every day! Tonight he pulled himself up to the table on his knees and started grabbing for my phone. Earlier i left the room and he had pulled down all my note cards from school and was chewing on them. I guess i better not leave my school stuff within reach because i don't think my instructors would believe me if i told them my child ate my homework!
